                         Ribbon Cake

                             You will need

 

 
                            250g Butter

                              250g Sugar

                              250g Flour

                              5 Eggs

                              8g Baking Powder

                              2g Salt

                              10ml Vanilla

                             2 colors of coloring

                             2 drops flavors

 
                                Method

                1. Pre heat the oven 180°C
                2.Sift the flour, baking powder and the salt together
                3. Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl,
                   until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
                 4. Mix the flour, baking powder to gather.
                 Gradually beat  the eggs. 
                 [add the eggs one at a time beating well after each addition]
                 5. Fold in the sifted flour using a metal spoon.
                 6. Divide the mixture in to two equal portions.
                 7. Add a color and a flavor to a portion and  another color
                    and a flavor to the other portion.
                 8. Bake the two potions separately.
                 9. Combined the two cakes with butter cream.
               10.Carefully smooth the top without mixing the colors. 
               11. Bake it in 180°C for 45 minutes.
